I’ve been an ASL interpreter for more than 35 years, and I’m still learning, growing, and finding new ways to love this profession.

I’m a nationally certified interpreter (NIC), and over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with so many different people, situations, and interpreting challenges.

One thing I’ve learned along the way is that becoming a good interpreter is about so much more than knowing ASL. It’s about learning how to think on your feet, understand people, make good professional decisions, handle the unexpected, and—often most importantly—have the confidence to trust yourself.
